Programme Management provides a project ‘pressure gauge' to take the heat off programme managers. Its unique heat mapping technology provides unprecedented visibility into project progress and pain-points. Programme Management has a number of features, which take it beyond the conventional project management tools, allowing users to collaborate, coordinate and control information across the entire project supply chain.
Project managers struggle to manage across distributed teams of suppliers, customers and partners. Executive management don't have visibility into project portfolios making managing risks and strategic projects effectively very difficult. Standardisation of processes is key to business scalability, however many project managers are challenged with;
Project Templates
These enable administrators to create standard definitions of the standard project types depending upon the type of project and how the project will be delivered. This will define the project details, the tasks, deliverables, business roles and folder structure used to execute the project. Authorised users can then create new projects by choosing a project template.
Standard project types such as bid-management can be designed as off-the-shelf templates that project teams can use to get started quicker while complying with company policies.
Task Management
Project administrators can create Template Tasks as part of a Project Template. These tasks define the activities that must be completed during the project lifecycle and the order in which they must be completed. They also define the different roles that should complete each task and the expected duration of each task.
When a project is created and the business roles are assigned to real people/teams, the solution creates the tasks for the project and allocates the first task(s) to the relevant users. When a task has been raised, managers can re-assign or re-prioritize tasks if necessary. Each user will be presented with a To-Do list when they access the system. This will remind them of the tasks they need to perform and the expected completion date.
The system allows users to view tasks that have not yet been activated and start work on them. However, they will not be able to complete them until the previous task have been completed. It will also allow administrators to Rewind or Fast-Forward a project to a previous phase or future stage.
Management Dashboards and Reports
With large numbers of activities and projects, it is virtually impossible to track each task, dependencies and risks. With Programme Management, managers can see in real-time the status of each task within each project, the duration versus estimates and forecast the expected workload for a specific team.
The solution provides managers with an easy way to drill-down from high-level project summary information into the current tasks that are in progress. Historical Reports which provide reports on actual progress versus estimated progress. Overdue tasks are highlighted for the manager's attention and managers can search across project tasks using a number of criteria to improve visibility and problem diagnosis. Management Reports can be shown using graphical heatmaps to visualise a large set of data.
Single Integrated Environment
Project tasks, dependencies, durations and deliverables can be created to manage the entire workflow of a project. Project teams have access to a personalised dashboard of project related activities that they need to complete, plus instant access to the collaborative document management capabilities that they need to complete tasks. This provides managers and team members with a single integrated environment to execute, manage and monitor the project.
Our Reporting and Analytics portal gives a comprehensive view of information with which to analyse team effectiveness and optimise project results. Flexible ad hoc reporting allows users to develop custom reports using any reporting or business analysis environment that supports Excel or CSV formatted data sources.
