STRABAG extends global use of CTSpace with three year contract to manage construction projects worldwide
LONDON, 18 January 2007 - STRABAG, one of the leading international providers of construction services, has extended its use of CTSpace's business process management and AEC collaboration solutions. This will help STRABAG manage the development, design, construction and maintenance of its worldwide construction projects.
CTSpace's Software-as-a-Service solution will allow more than 1,000 employees and over 6,000 external partners to easily retrieve documents and drawings, share and archive data and continually track progress against schedules. Using one standard tool will support collaboration and standardise processes on national and international projects, including road and building construction, and civil engineering.
"Using CTSpace, we have greater transparency of project progress, are better equipped to reduce errors and costs which will give us competitive advantage," said Martin Poeppelmann, eCommerce co-ordinator at STRABAG. "Being a pan-European organisation, with international partners spanning many countries, it's important for us to have a technology partner that can provide customer support on global projects. CTSpace can supply multi-language support and training. For instance, on an airport construction project in Africa we can have French speaking support for our engineers and a native language customer support hotline."
"Having worked with CTSpace since 2002, we have seen how easy it is to deploy the solution. We intend to now roll out CTSpace collaboration solutions across 60 - 100 projects each year," comments Poeppelmann. "In addition we are currently considering a standardisation of our post construction phases with the help of CTSpace's Defect Management solution," he concluded.
"With no other infrastructure required, STRABAG can easily and seamlessly connect all its employees and partners to enable them to effectively share critical project information," said Gert-Jan de Kieviet, Managing Director, Northern EMEA, CTSpace. "Through standardising processes and procedures with CTSpace on more than 140 projects all over the world, STRABAG is able to gain maximum return on their use of our solutions."
