Currently the CTSpace solution is supporting more than 100 construction projects for IKEA worldwide.
Among these projects is a new store in Springvale, just southeast of Melbourne, Australia. Upon completion the Springvale store is due to become Australia's largest home care product centre. The new 82,000 m2 site will be jointly owned by IKEA and Harvey Norman with 70,000 m2 of retail space; 32,000 m2 assigned to a brand new IKEA store and the rest for up to 15 other retailers. At a cost of around $150 million, the new store is likely to be the biggest and most environmentally friendly yet. The project is due to be complete in late 2009.
IKEA has also bought two plots of land; 67-hectacre and 50-hectacre in the Novousmansky district of the Voronezh region of Russia upon which they are planning to develop a large shopping complex, the value of which is expected to be in the region of $50 million US. The project will be managed using the CTSpace solution.
