GCC is calling upon CTSpace to help optimize document management and work collaboration on the construction of the new police barracks for the "Gendarmerie Nationale" in Lyon (France). The project will be run as a public-private partnership and CTSpace will be implementing their Saas based solution.
Paris, France – December 1st, 2009 – CTSpace, developer of solutions for document management and collaboration in engineering and construction the world over, announced today that they will be working with French contractor GCC on the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the new police headquarters in Sathonay-Camp in the Rhône region (France).
GCC won the bid to work on this $215 million public private partnership project. The project will be built on 39 acres of land and will welcome hundreds of families into the local community. The main purpose of the project is to centralize the Lyon police service, who up until now has been dispersed into smaller pockets. They will now be able to access a unified and technically modern headquarters in order to help this coordination. This real estate project also entails local offices for local and technical services (85,000 ft²), a residential area with 167 bedrooms (20,000 ft²), other areas with a medical center, a gym, food court and hospitality services (16,000 ft²) and also a large parking area (98,000 ft²). GCC will be also in charge of constructing the roads, networks and green spaces during the project. The police Barracks will be operational as of July 2012.
CTSpace will be working with GCC to optimize and simplify exchanges on the project. The online tool will allow project control in a completely secure and ever evolving environment.
